Saneem lodges complaint against Turaga

Former Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has lodged a complaint with the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC)  against the Attorney-General, Siromi Turaga.

He revealed in a statement that he has lodged a complaint in relation to a statement made on Friday, February 3 by Mr Turaga.

Mr Saneem, in his statement claimed Mr Turaga does not have the lawful authority to issue any directives to the Fiji Police Force or the Immigration Department and labels his conduct as “tantamount to abuse of office.”

He has also lodged a complaint against three employees of the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) including the Acting Supervisor Elections, Ana Salaivalu Mataiciwa for accessing confidential information from the Electoral Commission secretariat without lawful authority.

He intends to lodge a complaint against the Director Immigration as well.
